Sabine Veith and Manuel Neid

“We are proud of our employer.”

An interview with Sabine Veith and Manuel Neid

  • Trendsetter with tradition

We don’t follow trends – we set them. And we’ve been doing so for 111 years.

  • Opportunities for newcomers

We open the door to a new career path.

  • Qualifications nurture quality

We invest in people – and thus the future.

Newcomer Sabine Veith has quite an impressive career path under her belt – from starting out as a complete newcomer to becoming shift supervisor in Meißenheim. Manuel Neid is a civil engineer and team leader for investment projects in Wiesbaden. Both have made the most of the opportunities to advance their careers at MEWA.

Sabine Veith began working for MEWA in 2007. She started out on the laundry folding machine and moved through different departments within the company as an all-round talent. She soon proved her worth in every line of work. Her superiors recognised her potential and supported her further development. Today she is shift supervisor in Meißenheim, where she is responsible for 60 employees.

Further training opens doors

Her career was made possible by MEWA opening its doors to those in search of a change in career. Anyone who is motivated and adaptable can change paths here. “MEWA supported my further training and believed in me,” says Sabine Veith. “But this is also in my nature. I’m open-minded and enjoy taking on responsibility.” Her work includes staff planning, incoming goods, monitoring, recruitment interviews, as well as other duties. Or, as she likes to put it: “I make sure everything runs smoothly.”

Be part of the company’s success

Manuel Neid also found the right employer in MEWA: “I felt at home from day one – because here you are taken seriously as a human being. I’m proud to work for MEWA.” He adds: “You can feel that the company is always progressing. To be part of it is something that motivates me and makes me proud.” As well as this, the trained civil engineer, who started at MEWA in 2012, values the flat hierarchies, the trusted brand name, and the stability of the company. “In my job as team leader for investment projects in Wiesbaden, I play an active role in the expansion of MEWA, and have the chance to make my own personal contribution,” says Manuel Neid with delight.
