In the competition for best PR photo of the year we led the field. Out of a field of 1,500 entrants our photo took two trophies at the coveted "PR Photo Award" competition: "PR Photo of the Year and "Best Product Photo".
Incredible guys at a dizzying height
The winning motif shows two construction workers, in spectacular action on a scaffold at a dizzying height. One of them is positioned diagonally on the floor of the scaffold, the other is flying through the air, with dust everywhere. MEWA submitted this photo for the coveted PR Photo Award" – and won! In the competition organised by the dpa subsidiary, news aktuell, the photo took first place as "PR Photo of the Year"; and it took the prize for "Best Product Photo". The competition was intense: 1,500 photos from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland were in competition for the prize.
Snapshot with a great effect
Oddly enough: Our photo came about more as a "secondary consideration". Actually, way up there on the scaffolding the video was being filmed to show that our new DYNAMIC clothing can really follow every movement. Instead of showing the men in a "classic" work situation, the script called for a ball game with risky action leaps in a show jumping style. The idea: You can rely on your work clothing – it handles everything. Photos were taken while the video was being filmed. Jann Klee took shots for the making-off. But the photos were so convincing, and they so effectively captured the atmosphere that MEWA used them as press photos. With great success! We are very pleased that our message worked so well that we were even able to convince marketing professionals.
